Showcase Your Car!

Here are just a few tips to help you achieve the best offers for your used car. Whether you want to sell on a well used family wagon or a month old supercar, the same applies to all.

Clear The Car

At the end of the day, traders aren’t interest in your football boots in the boot from last weeks game or the car seat that’s been hoovered by the valeters because you couldn’t be bothered to unclip it. What they are looking for is an honest representation of the vehicle interior. The more of the car they can see - the more likely you’ll be given a quick offer without requesting more images.

Clearing the car makes the next step a whole lot less daunting too!

Clean The Car

A quick wash is the least effort we’d recommend. It’ll help you show our traders the car in a way that they’d expect it to sit on a forecourt and maybe even highlight any preparation work they may need to carry out.

For those of you serious about getting the best price for car - take the car for a good valet. You can get a £20 valet that will take half hour or you can get a full detailing job that will present your car at it’s finest. We would highly recommend going this sort of a service especially on cars of higher value.

The Pictures

( this is really important)

Now that your car is clean and clear, we suggest you taking a minimum of 10 but encourage you to take 20+ images of what you’d like to sell. If you imagine a clock face with the bonnet at 12. Take well lit, eye level pictures all around at 12,1, 2, 3 etc all the way around back to 12. Get some good angles through open doors of the interior seats and dash. Pay close attention to any areas where they may be scuffs, scratches or damage around the vehicle - the honest picture taking is always appreciated and won’t slow down offers coming in.

Get some final snaps of any documents, service history and spare keys you have for the car too.
